Publication Deadlines for Print and Online Ads

• You must reserve your ad by the 12th of the month prior to publication.
• The deadline for submitting finished ads is the 15th day of the month prior to publication.
• If you want us to do a simple typeset of your ad for you, the deadline is the 12th day of the month prior to publication. Cost is $30 an hour with a $30 minimum.
• If you want us to do a more elaborate design of your ad for you, the deadline is the 10th day of the month prior to publication. Cost is $45 an hour with a $45 minimum.
• Cancellations must be received prior to the above deadlines. We cannot honor cancellations received after the 15th of the month for the next edition.
  

Print Advertising

Print Ad Technical Specifications

• The Lookout View newspaper is 11 3/8" wide by 17" high. It is web printed on high quality partially recycled newsprint in full color at 133 lines per inch or more.
• Please use a CMYK color model for your color ads and save them at a minimum of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) for photos or ads with a combination of photos, graphics or text (i.e. raster files) or 1020 ppi for line art (i.e. Illustrator or vector files). You can save your black and white or grayscale ads with a Grayscale color model at a minimum of 200 ppi.
• We accept the following file formats for print: *.tif (preferred for high quality full color graphics and photos), *.jpg (acceptable, but not ideal for text and graphics), *.png (make sure they are saved at 300 ppi), *.eps (vector/postscript files) and *.pdf.

How to Send Us the Files

Ads can be provided as a hard copy (camera-ready), electronically on a CD in any of the above formats (if no editing is required) or in QuarkXPress if editing, typesetting or additional design is required. You may e-mai your ads if they are under 1mb in size to printads@thelookoutview.com. If your ad is larger than 1 mb, please save it on a CD and mail it to:

Online Advertising

Online ads Technical Specifications

• Please use an RGB color model for your ads and save them at a minimum of 72 ppi (pixels per inch) and a maximum of 96 ppi.
• We accept the following file formats: *.jpg (good for text and graphics), *.png (preferred for high quality graphics and photos), *.gif (for all text ads or simple clip art/text animations), *.swf (for flash animation ads or slide shows).

How to Send Us the Files

Ads can be electronically saved on a CD in any of the above formats (if no editing is required) or in Word, Photoshop or QuarkXPress if editing, typesetting or additional design is required. *If you run the ad for 3 months in a row, you receive a 10% discount, 6 months in a row is a 20% discount and 1 year in a row is a 40% discount. If any ad is to be placed on the home page, the cost is increased by 20%.
